Hi, I’m Sam — the creator of Milieux.
I built Milieux to make real-world social discovery feel natural again. The idea came from wanting a better way to see where people actually are, discover nearby venues, and create more spontaneous real-life connections.
Every part of the app — from the design and user experience to the backend infrastructure — has been carefully built with a focus on simplicity, atmosphere, and meaningful interaction.

Ever since I was 12 years old and spent a whole year saving paper round money to buy my first iMac, I’ve been obsessed with building and creating things through technology.
I’ve always had a creative mindset and taught myself how to code from a young age, which eventually led me into working professionally as a software engineer for a number of years.
This app is something I designed and built myself from the ground up — combining creativity, product thinking, and engineering into something real that people can hopefully enjoy and connect with. For me, it’s never just been about writing code, it’s about bringing ideas to life.
